This bridge is the hardest to cross. The river of pain flowing underneath is overtaking, all consuming.

Taken out to sea. Now it is just me and the crashing waves. I’m screaming storms and shouting thunder,
All the while adrift in the rift of oblivion.

But sometimes you have to hold your own hand and sail through the breakdowns.
As the storms break and the sea calms,
I see the stars bright reflection bouncing off the water,
I hear the sweet lullabies of the world laced into the night sky.

And I know I have to ride the waves and weather the storms to make the journey back to shore.

  • Indigo Hues, Watercolour Skies

    Indigo Hues, Watercolour Skies

    I cry watercolour skies,
You can see the tracks of my tears.
    I’m too dead inside.

Indigo hues deepen as daylight wanes,
    And I realise,
I don’t live here anymore, inside my head.

All I can think of is,
    Hope is a slow poison,
    And temporary ecstasy,
    is enchanting,
Against the fatal embrace of time.

  • Forever in Flight or Fight

    Forever in Flight or Fight

I hate it in my own head.
    My own worst enemy.
    Wishing I was dead.

    The demons get too loud.
The cloud of illusion rolls in quick.
I can’t get myself to calm down,
    And realise,
    Its all in my head.

    Sorrow holds its grip tight.
And I try and try with all my might,
    To overcome, to push through.
But sometimes reasons are gone with the wind.
    The grip is too suffocating,
And the screams of pain too loud.

    I am my own enemy.
    But at the same time,
    I am my own saviour.

    The battles are just ongoing.
The end of the war is no where in sight.
    Day to day,
    Night to night.
    Forever in flight or fight.

  • Stuck In The Void

    Stuck In The Void

    All the days and nights
    Fade away.

    Fade into each other,
    Into a haze.

    All the thoughts and feelings,
    All the pain.
    A whirlpool of emotion,
    Sucking me in.

  • Is it Better to Feel Numb?

Is it Better to Feel Numb?

Is it better to feel numb?
Even just for a little while.
To turn off from the sadness, you’ll know you will have to face again and again

Or is feeling numb a sign that the sadness has become too much? and you have become used to feeling like this,

Used to all the bullshit and the trauma, that feels never-ending.

And being numb is a coping response to try and feel some peace,

even if its short lived, even if its for one moment.

One little sliver of peace amongst the chaos.

One moment of floating instead of falling into the void of darkness that is my mind.

  • Grow, Die, Grow Again

    Grow, Die, Grow Again

    We grow,
    We die,
    We grow again.

    Through life,
    And its garden
    Of pain
    And beauty.

    Fleeting moments,
    Changing seasons.

    We grow,
    We die,
    We grow again.

  • We Become One

    We Become One

As the sun sets over the mountains and darkness becomes night,

Our souls reset for another day.
    Our hearts settle.
Our minds may race processing the day that is done.
    Our body lays to rest.

As the sun sets over the mountains and darkness becomes night,
We become one with our true self.

  • Unnecessary Fear

    Unnecessary Fear

We dwell on fear and let it consume us. We let fear overwhelm us with its tight grasp, pulling us further down into the destruction of the self. We are clouded by the worst possible consequence that we do not see opportunities right in front of us. We fail to take hold of them, and we let them pass by. A placebo effect of fear can sometimes stop us in our tracks.

Most of our fears are unnecessary and have unnecessary control over us. We must break the chains that bound us. We fear what ifs and everything falling apart. However, we will never know the outcome if we do not take the chance to take the risk. Sometimes aspects of our lives falling apart is a blessing in disguise as it paves the way for bigger and better things to come in the future. There is a reason for every moment even if it takes times to make sense of.

We should not let fear hold us back from exploring our greatest adventures and moments. Do not let fear define you. Fear should not dictate your life.
Take that leap, make that move and run full ahead into your goals and dreams.

  • Live To Tell Another Day

    Live To Tell Another Day

It may be a struggle to get up, but you can overcome. Wake up, let the hot water of the shower warm your bones. Take a moment of peace, breathe. Be proud of yourself. Have faith in yourself. Live to tell another day, live to make another memory, one you may cherish forever or one you can say that you survived from and made it though ❣

  • Graveyard

    Graveyard

    Bare soul.
    Bare bones.

    It has all gone cold,
    In my heart of stone.

    Faded away,
    To dust and ash,
Carried away by the wind of the night.

    Only darkness,
    Only emptiness remains.
A graveyard of memories that once were happy days.

  • Walk With Your Head Held High

Walk With Your Head Held High

Walk with your head held high into the night, into the pain and into the light.

You are stronger than you feel you are, with whatever the suffering you may be going through, hold on, hold tight.

Don’t give up, don’t doubt yourself, be ready for the fight.

The battles may be long and enduring, but you will conquer them all.

Save yourself and free yourself and find peace amongst the chaos of it all.

  • Life Is Like A Vast Ocean

Life Is Like A Vast Ocean

Life is vast like the ocean, full of surprise and mystery both above and below the surface.

Sometimes we get carried away by the crashing waves and the storm brewing around us, thinking we are unable to make it back to shore.

We have to ride the waves and the seas of our soul, finding the calm and the stillness amongst the chaos of it all.

Anchor yourself with peace and love.

Slowly but surely the winds of wisdom and truth will guide us forward and to the shore again. 🌊

  • Stormy Seas

    Stormy Seas

There will always be stormy seas, ups and downs.

There will always be darkness within the light, forever intertwined.

Just as a thunderstorm commands power but brings beauty, clarity and calm before and after; we humans experience the same in our emotional, mental and physical self.

The storm and the struggle may be rough, but it carries us through the lessons we must learn.

And the light is always there to guide us and show us beauty and wisdom in everything we do.

  • You Will Be OK

    You Will Be OK

Sometimes the will to get up is the hardest.
The will to move is the hardest.
Even when your loved ones hold you up, the will to go on is the hardest.

The void seems to get deeper.
The darkness seems to get darker.
    The demons almost win.
And you beat yourself almost to death for it.

But its ok, it happens in life.
    Be kind to yourself.

Ride the waves and watch them as they pass,
As a new day arrives and a new dawn is here,
    You will find a way.
    You will be ok.
