Demons Embrace

You were my only escape.

The only one I let fully in.
The only one I could break down and cry to.
The only one that helped me fight my demons.
The only one that made me feel truly safe.

And now I cry for you,
As my demons take full embrace.
Everything locked away.
Either numb or feeling all the pain.

Wishing for silence,
The end,
Take me away.

        I definitely agree, it helps to escape reality sometimes, either through imagination, writing, art and adventure. Nurture the soul from pain
