  • Burning out, beautifully
    – Jacqueline Lente Poetry
  • Artworks

I want to know the truth of your soul,
    Your strength, your story,
The fire that drives your heartbeat forward through the night.

I’m not afraid of the monsters you carry—
The rage born of old wounds, the scars,
The hurt forged in your bones.

    I am no stranger to the dark underworld;
    My monsters, my oldest companions—
Linger like background noise that refuses to die away.

    But we are not our monsters;
We are what we create from the mess they leave behind.

Show me the artworks of your life.

    Create some magic with me.

  • Thunder

As thunder cracks and the heavens break
We are pulled back into each other’s storm,
Drawn by a tether neither of us can name.
    Our cords run deep.

We search for the centre calm – the fragile quiet buried beneath all this noise.
For the home of belonging in each other’s heart.

Chaos surrounds us, chaos tests us,
Thunder pressing its questions hard against our ribs.

Yet in the wreckage, we reach for each other first.
    Searching, finding each other
    In the stars,
In the dark of the night,
In the rain and the cold,
And in the last flicker of the flame.

Always returning, always pulled back in.

Hold my hand and let it rain,

    You are mine –

    through every storm,

in every lifetime that finds us again.

  • 🚦 Green Light 🚦

    🚦 Green Light 🚦

    I aimed for red—
    sunset bleeding orange and fire,
    a perfect contrast.

    Then it changed.

    Green.

I almost didn’t take the shot.

    But I did.

And now I see more than I planned—
    not colour,
    but a path.
    A horizon waiting.

We spend so long waiting for the perfect red,
    the perfect moment,
    the perfect sign—

    but life doesn’t wait.

    It turns green.

    And every green light
    leads to the horizon.

    So go.

  • Affogato Afternoons

    Affogato Afternoons

Affogato afternoons, where the day softens and the heart sharpens.
I sip the sweetness melting into the bitter, hoping it teaches me something honest.
I remember I’m allowed to slow down.

    Some afternoons are a truce.
    Others are a battlefield,

Where I sit across from myself, letting the espresso burn through the fog I thought I was done fighting.
But here – in this melting moment – I let it all blur.
The past I’m trying to outgrow, the future I’m not ready for, the voices that rise like steam and disappear just as fast.

Because in affogato afternoons, I learn the same truth over and over:
Even the bitter can soften. Even the frozen can give. And sometimes, the only way forward is to let yourself melt just enough to begin again.

  • Untitled post 852

Tra fiori selvatici e vino, I toast the ghosts that never learned to leave me.

I tear the petals, I drain the bottle, I dare the night to swallow me whole.

    I bloom where I burn.

  • Grow, Die, Grow Again

    Grow, Die, Grow Again

    We grow,
    We die,
    We grow again.

    Through life,
    And its garden
    Of pain
    And beauty.

    Fleeting moments,
    Changing seasons.

    We grow,
    We die,
    We grow again.

  • Walk With Your Head Held High

Walk With Your Head Held High

Walk with your head held high into the night, into the pain and into the light.

You are stronger than you feel you are, with whatever the suffering you may be going through, hold on, hold tight.

Don’t give up, don’t doubt yourself, be ready for the fight.

The battles may be long and enduring, but you will conquer them all.

Save yourself and free yourself and find peace amongst the chaos of it all.

  • Life Is Like A Vast Ocean

Life Is Like A Vast Ocean

Life is vast like the ocean, full of surprise and mystery both above and below the surface.

Sometimes we get carried away by the crashing waves and the storm brewing around us, thinking we are unable to make it back to shore.

We have to ride the waves and the seas of our soul, finding the calm and the stillness amongst the chaos of it all.

Anchor yourself with peace and love.

Slowly but surely the winds of wisdom and truth will guide us forward and to the shore again. 🌊

  • Stormy Seas

    Stormy Seas

There will always be stormy seas, ups and downs.

There will always be darkness within the light, forever intertwined.

Just as a thunderstorm commands power but brings beauty, clarity and calm before and after; we humans experience the same in our emotional, mental and physical self.

The storm and the struggle may be rough, but it carries us through the lessons we must learn.

And the light is always there to guide us and show us beauty and wisdom in everything we do.

  • Over The Horizon, Into The Sunset

Over The Horizon, Into The Sunset

Our journey awaits over the horizon and into the sunset.

Through the waves and the storms we must face.

During the battles and the darkness, we can find peace in the hidden rays of the light of the sun shining over, watching over us.

Guiding us to freedom and love.

The journey of adventure and experience, growth and wisdom; the journey of our divine soul awaits over the horizon and into the sunset.

  • Natures Energy

    Natures Energy

    To the wind,
    To the rain,
The softness of mother nature and her fierceness combined.

The world revolves around the golden sun.
The energies work their way into our being,
    Colliding with our soul.

    We fear the unkown,
    But must take the leap.
Don’t be afraid if it gets too deep.

Change and time and reason are all at play.
To see you through another day.
